Physical Education & Student Activity: Evaluating Implementation of a New Policy in Los Angeles Public Schools

In 2009, Los Angeles Unified School District adopted a physical education (PE) policy to comply with California state PE standards as a result of audits that found the district did not comply with these standards. This Annals of Behavioral Medicine article describes outcomes of the PE policy in the district.
